Position: Executive Manager, Cultural Safety & Partnerships

Leonie Patterson joined Anglicare NT in November 2018 as Executive Manager, Cultural Safety & Partnerships after spending around 16 years working in Indigenous affairs in government managing a diverse range of programs and services.

Leonie is a proud local Aboriginal woman with considerable experience working with Indigenous organisations and communities, sector and government at various levels in the NT and nationally.

As Executive Manager, Cultural Safety & Partnerships, Leonie provides:

• high-level strategic advice to the CEO, Executive and Board on all matters and interactions related to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, communities and organisations in the NT.
• guidance to inform the design of culturally safe training for all staff.
• guidance to management and leadership to strengthen partnerships with Aboriginal community controlled organisations and communities and ensure programs and services are culturally appropriate and meet the needs of Aboriginal people in the NT.
