Midawarr Day Out 2024

“Midawarr is such an amazing event for the whole community” said Heidi McDermott, our Regional Manager in East Arnhem. “Remote work is hard, and being able to connect and have fun is so important” she said.

Organised by the Gove Peninsula Combined Aged and Disability Services, Midawarr is designed to connect clients and their families to aged care and NDIS services. Each year it brings aged and disability players from around East Arnhem Land together to network, learn and party.

On social media Carers NT said “everyone’s presence and enthusiasm made a truly memorable day filled with fun, learning, delicious food, wonderful music and a lot of dancing”.

Thanks to the key organisers Carers NT and Anglicare NT with funding from NIAA. A huge thanks also to the organisations that set-up stalls to talk about their service and how they fit into the aged care and disability services in the region.

“We are a small group of people working in a huge area, and networking at events like this can’t be underestimated” stallholder
