Anglicare NT Annual Report 2023-24

Anglicare NT was pleased to host our Year in Review meeting on 28 November 2024 in Darwin. Our board chair Richard Giles launched the Annual Report and Jason Elsegood, owner and director of Cross Cultural Consultants, spoke about the value of partnerships with ACCOs.

During the last financial year, Anglicare NT reached over 23,000 Territorians through 88 diverse services and capacity building initiatives. A highlight was surveying over 500 service participants to learn more about what they think of us. Results showed 95% of respondents were happy with our services.

Other highlights were starting the delivery of Indigenous-led suicide prevention skills training, mapping eating disorder services across the NT and organising consultation sessions with young people to inform the design and delivery of the Darwin Youth and Community Hub. Through our Partnership Support Service, we worked with 10 Aboriginal controlled organisations, including BRADAAG, the Barkly Regional Alcohol Advisory Group in Tennant Creek.

We are proud of our constructive and lived experience led advocacy work, particularly in an election year where cost of living and concerns around public safety were front and centre. We continue to support smart investment in economic and social outcomes in combination with evidence backed early intervention and prevention.
