Ms Martha Stewart

Position: Director

Martha Stewart joined the Board in September 2023. Martha is the General Manager and Registrar of the Anglican Diocese of the Northern Territory. With over 15 years’ experience as a senior finance professional, Martha has spent many years working in the utilities industry and public sector, covering areas of finance, corporate services, governance, strategy and cultural transformation.

For the last three years, Martha served as Chief Financial Officer of Power and Water Corporation. One of the largest companies in the Northern Territory, this government-owned multi-utility has nearly 1000 staff and over $1 billion in managed infrastructure assets. In this role she forged solid relationships with strategic partners while leading teams through whole-sale change in a complex and shifting environment. She is passionate about constructively growing local teams’ capabilities while achieving business objectives.

Martha started her career in the United States, moving to Australia in 2001. Among her other roles, she has worked in the Arts, Primary Producer and Legal industries. Martha is a Member of CPA Australia, holds a Masters Degree in Professional Accounting and is a member of the Governance Institute of Australia.
